Workplace counselling, EAP and critical incident support
Trauma-focused support for staff after a difficult event, and ongoing employee assistance counselling delivered on behalf of major providers.
Enquire about an appointmentEmployee assistance (EAP)
An Employee Assistance Programme is a work-funded benefit that gives employees access to short-term, confidential counselling and support. It is usually free at the point of use for the employee and is designed to help with stress, anxiety, burnout, bereavement, relationship issues and other personal or work-related difficulties before they escalate.
I deliver EAP counselling on behalf of providers such as ComPsych. If your employer offers an EAP, your sessions may already be covered — check with your provider and ask for me by name.
Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)
Critical Incident Stress Management is a structured, evidence-informed approach to helping individuals, teams and organisations respond to and recover from traumatic or unusually stressful events. It aims to reduce the immediate emotional impact, stabilise those affected, and identify anyone who may need further support.
After a sudden death, serious accident, violent incident or other critical event, teams need a structured, timely response — not a leaflet. I'm CISM certified and a member of CISM Network Ireland and the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, and I provide individual, group and organisational support nationwide.
This typically includes early defusing on site, a structured group debrief in the days afterwards, one-to-one follow-up for those most affected, and guidance for managers on what to expect over the following weeks.
Arranging support
For a critical incident, contact me directly and I'll respond as quickly as possible. Ongoing arrangements for staff counselling — in person or online nationwide — can be set up in advance so support is ready before you need it.
Enquiries from organisations are welcome.
